We are getting the one that matches the bedding. I can't get past it not matching the rest of the room, but if it doesn't do the trick for little  I'm sure I'll cave.

We registered for the mobile that matches our bedding and the Fisher Price Ocean wonders aquarium.

We got thePink Fairy mobile... it goes with the theme of the nursery. It has a light show that projects on the ceiling. Plays music for 15 minutes and several different songs. i love that it comes with a remote control. And when DD gets older, it converts into a glowing nightlight.
We also put the Fisher Price Ocean Wonders aquarium in the crib too :) Image Attachment(s):

Yes. There is the Ocean Wonders Aquarium that hooks onto the side of the crib. It's like a little fish tank; it plays music, lights up and the fish go around in a circle.
I recommend it.....at almost 2 years old, it's still in my DD's crib and she puts it on all the time.

Tiny Love mobiles are THE BEST invention EVAH!!!! Once your baby is old enough to kick it to turn it on, it will be a LIFESAVER in the middle of the night. Who cares if it doesn't go with your bedding, your bedding won't soothe your baby back to sleep at night!!!
eta...the Ocean Wonders Aquarium is a fantastic thing also...at two and a half its hooked onto my sons big boy bed now and he still loves playing with it!

OMG- BEST invention EVERRRR.........The mobile that comes with bedding are a huge waste. They move for all of 2 minutes and are BORING.
The Tiny Love mobiles are fantastic. We got the Symphony in Lights version and it goes for 20 minutes, plays a variety of songs, the characters "move", and it has a suoft light to use at night.
I swear that thing would mesmerize DD until she fell asleep. Even now, she still plays with the music portion (the mobile is detachable).
It's ugly as sin- but SO worth it......
I also heard great things about this one and registered for one...we also got another one to go with the bedding....
this one is unbelievable

I hate mobiles !!! - I just think they ruin a perfectly decorated nursery - But then again, I don't like anything 'cutsey' -
Isn't there something equally visually stimulating I can put IN the crib or something? Or will I have to suck it up and endure the dreaded mobile?
The twilight turtle is really cute and projects stars onto the walls and ceilings. They have it at BBB-if you want music you can use a CD player.
