Re: Are You OCD?
Not in the least - althoguh my family things I am because they are way laid-back (messy).
I dated a guy once who was -- that didn't last too long.

Re: Are You OCD?
I am with things, my kitchen evrything has a place...and dont move it. My bathroom I am fanatical about cleaning it even when I have company. I will go in there and clorox wipe the seat. I have this thing I can never let people see my hime out of wack it makes me nervous. DH tried to clean one day and I new the minute I walked in, he reversed my sugar and tea holder things. Its my moms fault. She is a complete OCD. She would flip when we were little if we walked on the carpet after she vacuumed.

Re: Are You OCD?
Not really - but little things like I check the door lock at least once, sometimes twice a night and towels folded a certain way which DH still hasn't gotten. More of a pet peeve - calendars have to be on the right day - I change them in people's offices all the time - drives me nuts!

I WISH I was more OCD. Everything is a mess around me and I think I like it that way...
you sound like me.
At least I'm not the only one! After reading all these posts about everyone wanting everything so neat and tidy and organized, I was starting to fee like a slob! LOL

I also have a HUGE issue with my email inbox. At work we use outlook.. I can't have ANYTHING in bold. I have to read every single email as soon as that little envelope pops up on my screen. I can be in the middle of the biggest thing.. I have to read them! The second I am done with an email it needs to be filed accordingly. I have a personal folder for EVERYTHING!
Wow, I'm totally the same way!!!
I counted how many personal folders I have in Outlook and it's 198! I have subfolders to my folders!!

Re: Are You OCD?
I didn't think I was until I read this post and started to notice things throughout the day today. -I have to fold my towels a certain way and then the colors have to be group together and I always have to buy 2 towels when I buy them. -When I warm ds's bottle on the stove I have to use a certain pot and cetain burner -when I make cereal for ds I have colored small platic bowls and spoons from Gerber and I have to use the same color spoon and bowl -I always check the locks at night -In the bedroom when I draw the shades up they all have to be at the same level

Re: Are You OCD?
I've certainly gained the reputation at school on top of in the family for this Oddly enough, it only effects me 85% of the time. The other 15%, I say fug it!
Hmmm, let's see.
I KNOW when something was moved and I must put it back the way it was.
I have routines. Routines for taking a shower, getting ready for bed, eating breakfast, getting in the car, walking in the door, etc. I can't stray from my routines.
I am hand washing queen. If I take out silverware from the drawer and we don't use it, IT'S STILL DIRTY!!!
In all honesty, there are too man;y to mention.

Re: Are You OCD?
I am really bad. Everything has to be in place before i go to bed. My clothing has to be facing the same way when put away, pictures have to be straight, everything has to be symetrical. My DH teases me so much about it. I have been known to straighten pictures in other peoples homes, Dr.s offices and so on. It drives me nuts.

Posted by lorich ...sleeveless & color coordinated, short sleeves & color coordinated, long sleeves & color coordinated.
don't consider myself to have OCD tendencies but i do this. just makes it easier to find an item if they are organized in this way.

Re: Are You OCD?
since a fire in our building few years ago, I check everything before I leave our apartment: gas, iron, curling iron.... and I will check it many times before I leave even though I know they are off!!! I will even touch the knobs on the gas stove just to be sure they are in off position
