Artificial Christmas trees, where did you get yours?

We've been in the market for an upgrade for quite some time but had to put it off these last few seasons.

Well, I can't take my slim-line-Charlie Brown-fake-looking-from-space tree anymore.

With Fortunoff's OOB, where did you go?

Home Depot. We have one that's really nice, it's not prelit and you have to put each branch in separately, it takes quite a while to assemble and then I have to put lights on. It's pretty, but a little too big for the space. I got it our first year in the house before we had furniture in the room.

We also have a prelit one that isn't as pretty, but fits the space better and so much easier, it's just 3 sections that you fit together and plug in.

Harrow's always have a great selection. We had to get a slim tree and got the perfect prelit there last year.

We got ours at Lowes....It was the only place that we found a 12 foot tree

I got mine from Target. It was $130 and it is super easy to put together, only 3 pieces.

ours is from target, but costco always has beautiful trees.

I got mine from fortunoff. they have their Xmas shop open.

We got our tree from Target and we love it!! It is a pre-lite tree and very full.

i have a 7ft slim pre lit that i got from michaels a few years ago - still holding up well after i think 3 or 4 years...

my MIL got a huge gorgeous one from Fortunoff, it was beautiful...

I need to get a new tree- My artificial tree is very slim. I want a giant one!

In your opinion, are the ones with the lights already on the tree or just plain better to have?

I'm very picky about trees. When we moved our tree didn't fit in our house (lower ceilings) PLUS we wanted to upgrade to prelit. With that said - we searched everywhere & ended up & are still in love with our tree from Lowes.

One recommendation - when you get the artificial tree, make sure the stand is METAL and not plastic!

We had an artificial tree last year that we've used for 5 years. On the 5th year, the plastic stand decided to bend and break AFTER all the ornaments and tinsel were already on the tree! Needless to say, we had to undecorate the tree and figure out a solution to fix the stand and then redecorate again. Such a PITA!!!

This year, we plan to buy another artificial tree, but will make sure it's a metal stand!

We got ours at Michaels about 3 years ago. I did look at a few places before I bought mine there.

Ours is about 7 1/2 feet (pre-lit).
