I'm currently making an easter basket for my nephew who is 12 months of age and I'm not sure if his mom might think it's too early for it.
At what age did you introduce crayons and coloring books?

I don't remember exactly, but maybe around 13 or 14 months. I think it's totally appropriate for you to put it in the Easter basket!

I bought DD crayons for Christmas. She was just shy of 13 months. Now, just shy of 15 months and she still eats the crayons - but she is making marks on paper.

DS is almost 15 months, and finally starting to put crayons on paper instead of in his mouth, but it's good to put them in a basket. Some kids start earlier, and it can always be saved until DC is ready to use them if too soon.
