At what age did you stop using a bottle?

At what age did you start to taper off the bottle and just use sippy cups?

We started sippy cups at 6 months, we were off bottles by 12 months, with the exception of the nighttime bottle, that was 13 months.

DD is 16 months and she still drinks from a bottle. This is the only way she will drink her milk. She doesnt run around all day with it hanging out of her mouth, so I don't have a problem with it. I'd rather know she is drinking her milk. Juice she drinks from a bottle also, but I push the sippy big time.

AJ still gets one bottle right before bed. She'll be two next month.

We got off the majority of the daily bottles by 14mo when she moved out of the Infant B (6m-12m) room. It was hard to take the bottle away when all the other kids had one.

I forced her to give up the paci at 19m

Seriously, I have no guilt about that last bottle a day. At 2yrs we'll probably just drop the bottle. I had her NEARLY off the bottle around 18m but my hubby kept offering it to her so now its part of her routine. Also she stays with my Aunt and my uncle feels she 'needs' one.

I know its impossible for me to break this habit right now so I'm just dealing with it. I promise myself she'll be bottle free by 20!

Ugh.... Mason is almost 14 months and hates the sippy. Only loves his bottle. Right now we haven't gotten rid of it yet

19 months.

11 months. I started to wean to whole milk from BFing at that point. I just gave the whole milk to daycare in a sippy cup. He resisted at first and only wanted water from the cup..

Then at 11.5 months we had to go all or nothing. That is when I had to stop nursing suddenly since I got sick and needed meds that were very unsafe for BFing. So, I just gave him either whole milk in a sippy cup or water. It was tough for like 2 days.. and then he gave in.

We had to go back to the bottle once when he got really sick with C.Diff and had serious runs for 2 weeks. At that point I gave him a bottle because he wasn't drinking anything and needed fluid. But, as soon as he was better he took the sippy cup again no problem. (It's because of this situation that I have 2 bottles in my closet still.. just in case!)

With DD the day of her 12 month birthday I switched right to sippy, no issues.

DS is 14 months & will not drink milk from a sippy. He attempts to drink water from sippy but its all over. Being that he's not a great eater, I'd rather him drink from the bottle & know he's getting his milk.

Sophia is 10 months and cant handle the sippy yet


she's still on med flow nipples so the sippy cups are too fast and she chokes

They went from the bottle to the Born Free sippy with the soft spout.

I plan on 12 months, but if it doesn't go smoothly I have no issue with going using bottles past 12 months. DD LOVES her sippy cup for water (seriously she guzzles it and is looking for more all the time) but I'm curious to see how she does with it for milk.

my DD is almost 14 months and still gets a bottle when she wakes up and before bed. Milk in the sippy cup the rest of the day.

We were trying to ween her off of the bottle around 12 months but with her and her new little sis being 13 months apart, we decided to wait this way she didn't get jealous of her sis having the bottle. and we are soooo glad that we did, because when her little sis gets the bottle she wants it.

KJ is almost 11 months and I plan to start transitioning him to a sippy soon

Around 13 months. I couldn't wait to get rid of them!!!
