At what age should my son start to see a dentist ????
he is 13 months and has 7 1/2 teeth and im wondering when to take him. when are you/did you take your DC ??
and how do i find a ped dentist??

I took my oldest at 2.5 years old. I am told between 2-3 but closer to 3.
I used Dental Kids associates. Wasn't covered by my insurance (although they take some) Worth every penny. They had video games in the waiting room, tv in the exam room all kinds of fun things.

Jeremy started at 18 months because of decalcification but just went for his 1st cleaning at 3

Same here. My dentist said he rec's age 2 just though the 1st time they are at the dentist is just to sit in the chair and have someone besides mommy/daddy look in their mouth, but he doesn't do anything at that time.
I don't plan on bringing her in til she's 2 1/2 -3 years old. ETA: we are bringing her to our family dentist, not a special one

he's gone twice already he is 2 1/2...he has calcium deposits and from what it seems like he will have to go every six months...I have really good dental I don't pay anything out of pocket so I take advantage of it

A family member of our is a dental hygenist and I ask her the same question. She said that we should try and brush their teeth now but no need until 2.5 - 3 (as someone else stated).
I would guess that you want to wait until most - if not all - of their teeth are in. Also, when they will cooperate a little more.

do you mean Dental associates for kids only in Roslyn?
if so go to Kiddsmiles right around the block on northern blvd in manhasset
