Baby and NO DRIVE! I mean S-E-X!
I dont know if its the fact that I feel well, very unattractive, fat and the added stress of our house (that is under construction) and baby...but its pretty bad. I have no sex drive.
I know its going to impact our marriage if it dont get better.

Re: Baby and NO DRIVE! I mean S-E-X!
I will be honest. I had NO sex drive AT ALL until I stopped breastfeeding my DD and got my period. I mean NONE. I felt so bad for DH- I would only do it to please him but I felt NOTHING. It was awful.
Its soooo much better now so hang in there.

Re: Baby and NO DRIVE! I mean S-E-X!
I still don't have the drive I used to and I'm 8 months PP. I think for me its body image and pure exhaustion.
Thankfully my DH is just as tired and I make it seem like it's his fault
In all seriousness I get worried sometimes that there's something wrong with me. I should talk to my OB about it. Have you spoke to yours?
I hope we both find our mojo!!!

It definitely requires extraordinary effort, even if you;re not n the mood, push yourself and probably within a few minutes you'll be ready to go

Re: Baby and NO DRIVE! I mean S-E-X!
I've had no drive since I first got pregnant. It's awful and I feel really bad for DH. Sometimes I force myself, but most nights I'm just exhausted.

I think it did since I always had a high drive and then it just disappeared after having her. It came back after I stopped BF so I think the chemicals keep your drive down or something

Re: Baby and NO DRIVE! I mean S-E-X!
I still feel this way and I am almost 10 mos. post partum
I KNOW for me, though, it's totally the extra weight I'm carrying around that is making me feel uninterested. I have the lowest self esteem lately and I just hate the way I look overall.. my skin, hair, body all just seem so fug. And the thought of getting naked makes ME .. so I cannot imagine DH wanting to see me that way (even though he insists otherwise )
I hope it gets better for us all soon though!

Re: Baby and NO DRIVE! I mean S-E-X!
I spoke to my OB about this and she just suggested that I start taking an over the counter supplement called DHEA. I would definitely talk to your OB first though before starting anything. Then there are all the other things you can do to help boost your drive, date night, alone time after DC goes to bed, foreplay to heat things up etc....

Re: Baby and NO DRIVE! I mean S-E-X!
15 months PP here and mine is still LOOOWWWWW! I BF for almost 6 months so I think that contributed, plus the exhaustion, and now...??? Honestly, part of me thinks that the BFing made my BBs so sensitive (still) that I really don't want them touched (sorry of TMI) and that just turns me off now.

Re: Baby and NO DRIVE! I mean S-E-X!
For those BFing, it's definitely a factor. My midwife told me that it lowers your sex drive as a way to not get pregnant, since you are providing for one child already.

I am going through the same thing...I am just so tired by the end of the day that all I want to do is sleep...maybe I should talk to my OB also

Re: Baby and NO DRIVE! I mean S-E-X!
I am in the same boat as you. I feel so unattractive that sex is the last thing on my mind. I do it anyways because DH practically begs but it is not very fun when you are not in the mood whatsoever.

I agree! We have dwindled to about twice a week, if DH is luck, usually at least once a week. But, even if I'm not in the mood once we start I'm ready to go
I KNOW for a fact it is my body image in my mind. Because I am used to feeling so confident about myself, now that I don't it's a whole new emotion for me
