Re: Baby bath tubs...necessary?

Im using this one
Summer Infant Right Height Center Tub

The green part can go directly into sink or you can stack it up & use it all in tub & as the baby gets bigger you have the bigger tub. I also got the PUJ tub for my mom thats for the sink solely

I had one for DD#1 and used it for a long time. I can't imagine not having it.

THAT is the tub I have!!! It is the best baby item I have!!! I love the digital thermometor built in and how it beeps if the water is too hot and how it filters so if the baby piddles it gets washed away!!!

That bathtub is becoming hard top find, they are coming out with a newer more expensive model.

DO NOT RETURN IT!!!!!!!Chat Icon ITS GOLD!!!!

100% necessary. Without a shadow of a doubt. There is no way I was letting my newborn lay in my kitchen sink. How skeevy! He used his infant tub until he could sit up on his own. Now at almost a year old, he's in the aquababy bath ring.

IMAGE Summer Infant comfort bather in the sink. It's great cause it folds flat so you can easily store it.

I use the gender neutral version of this and it's great.

As others said, you need to support the baby while you wash them and it's just so much easier & safer to have them in some type of tub.

I never used the sink to wash my DD, felt better doing it in the bathtub with the baby bather.

Babies get so slippery. You don't NEED it. But it's nice to have. No worrying about baby slipping out of your arms. And you can put the baby down in it as well, instead of holding DC the whole time. It makes for a more relaxed experience.

As far as clutter. I would just turn mine over and leave it in the tub.
