Baby carrot question - PLEASE don't laugh!
Can you OD on carrots? I am seriously NOT joking. I just read and then researched it online and saw that too much Vitamin A can be like poison to a fetus and basically cause you to miscarry.
From day 1 of AF I have been eating sooooo many baby carrots to increase the CM. The overachiever that I am, lol, sometimes ate an ENTIRE BAG a day.
Does anyone know anything about this? How many do you eat?

You may have eaten too many, but your baby doesn't receive nourishment from you immediately, so your safe if you cut down once you've O'ed.

Someone in our family used to be anorexic and all she ate was carrots. Well, one day she literally turned orange...I wasn't there for it, but I hear it was a very strange sight.
I'm not sure if it's bad for you in large doses, but if you turn orange it can't be great!

It's called caretinosis due to the beta carotene found in carrots. It can give your skin an orange color or Jaundice looking color but is not fatal or will not cause problems with you if trying to concieve and will slowly be excreted out of your body!! It's best to eat in moderation though!! I have seen alot a babies with this but never adults!! I gues eat but in moderation LOL!!

Any vitamin or mineral in extremely large doses can not only cause problems, but can be fatal. If you eat too many bananas, the Potassium will cause your heart to stop. [this is the reason heart/blood pressure/stroke patients cannot eat bananas]
Lay off the carrots, your body will prepare the proper amounts/consistency of "CM" when your body is ready to get pregnant. I know this b/c my usual cycle is 33 days. I spent 1 month at 28 and the next I never made it to AF. With my first child, I had the same long cycles. Suddenly, I had a few perfect "28" cycles and the one time I didn't use protection, BFP.
