Odd Question
When you sit on the toilet do you ever sit back/lean back on the tank? I ask because because we need to purchase a smaller toilet for our upstairs bathroom and the one we saw has a small tank. The seat cover when raised does not lay back on the tank but rather sits in an upright position. It will go back as far as the bolt assemble allows which by design differs per toilet seat.
See this video. At one point it will show an above view of the toilet with the seat raised. You will see there is space between the seat and the tank: Sterling Toilet
I don't think this is a big deal. I never sit back. I guess this is because I feel a toilet tank is not made to support someone leaning on it.
Please let me know your thoughts. Thanks

Re: Odd Question
One should never lean back. This could cause damage to the tank and also a leak could occur if the tank isn't secured properly.

Re: Odd Question
No, I've never leaned back - it's not a rocker.
Actually, I take that back. I was violently ill a couple of weeks ago and I think I leaned back out of sheer exhaustion

Re: Odd Question
I have actually caught myself doing that in the middle of the night. I'm usually so tired I could fall asleep there....otherwise, never...

Re: Odd Question
I don't think I've ever leaned back. I think it's better to lean forward if anything.
