Re: "Baby on Board!" signs...do they really work?

I don't have 1 and I don't really pay much attention to them. I am a careful driver regardless of anyone elses sign. I do have the sticker family, but b/c I thought it was cute. I personally think those yellow signs are a little dorkey - no offense to anyone that has one. I say if it makes one person drive more carefully around you then why not?

To say you drive more aggresively around them is crazy, but I am going to take your word for it in that you didn't mean it that way and that it was a poor choice of words. I agree we should all be careful regardless of who is in the car. Every life is important. I don't want my son growing up without a mom or dad or having 1 day with a loved one taken from him because of reckless driving.

Oh and LI with volunteer FD's the fire chief is also responsible for the people working on the ambulance. He is in charge of everything at the scene. It probably not a written rule to pay attention to those signs, but maybe some do and some don't. I never even thought of the signs for that purpose.

well I have the sign and I have a shade on the window saying baby on board .
let me tell you an interesting story that happened jast last week. I was driving DD to the park, speed limit in the area was 35 I was driving 35-40(maybe) there was a cop car behind me, they had no sirens or lights on or anything, just 3-4 cops sitting in the car driving. So all of a sudden they start honking at me, first I was startled bc I wasn't sure if I did something wrong and they wanted me to stop and got very worried. but kept driving since they didn't turn the lights on to stop me and /or they didn't order me to stopChat Icon at some pint just before making a turn I stop at the red light. the cop car ACTUALLY DROVE UP NEXT TO MY CAR, on the driver's side, the driver cop honked at me, rolled the indow down and he says to me: YOU KNOW YOU COULD GO A LITTLE FASTER! and he just drove OFFChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon I was so confused and angry and annoyed I couldn't even say anythingChat Icon Chat Icon I still can't believe it.
SOOO NO I do NOT think it makes a difference. BUT I am keeping the sign anywayChat Icon

I would hope those drivers who are parents themselves would care when they see it. I know DH and I do.
We have it on both cars, because I want people to know why when I have to drive slow or be extra careful when I make turns.
