Baby proofing
So we are going BBB today to get some stuff to baby proof. I know we need gates for the stairs, something to lock the lower kitchen and bathroom cabinets, the socket caps, whatelse???

For outlets in use, you' can get special covers (they even have larger covers to accommodated AC adapters). Also, if you have powerstrips, get a powerstrip cover. For sharp corners of tables, etc, get padded corner protectors.

the best baby proofing item i got was to lock the refrigerator. my daughter has an obsession with butter.

we have all the magnetic locks for the cabinets, DH still needs to install them. He has been very lazy with that and DD loves to go in the one closet and take everything out on me.

Don't go crazy with the babyproofing. Otherwise, you won't be able to deal with going anywhere else. No other house or room you visit will be that protective. Just keep DC away from anything that is deadly (outlets, stairs, poison in cabinets), and teach DC not to go in areas they shouldn't, and they'll learn to watch out for corners. Also, no matter how many furniture corners you pad, DC will still manage to bang their heads on *something*...
