Baby Shower etiquette: how to bring up the registry
We are sending an Evite to the guests for my sister's baby shower and are wondering the appropriate way to bring up her baby registry.
Do people expect to see it at the bottom of the invite? Do we say something along the lines of "here is the registry in case you want to get her a gift" or so we just put it there because obviously people know what to do. Or are we not suppose to not include it at all and wait for the guests to call us, the organizers and inquire if the mother to be has a registry?
Help!

I have received little insert cards from the store the person is registered at enclosed within the invite envelope.

This is what I've done/gotten too but I think the OP said they're using an Evite (online invitation)

Re: Baby Shower etiquette: how to bring up the registry
My family is more traditional and believes it isn't proper to put registry info on the invite. When guests rsvpd they simply asked my mom where we were registered and it worked out fine. That is what many of my friends have done as well.
But since you are doing an evite which is less traditional - you could probably include a small line at the bottom that says that the parents are registered at x store.
So it really depends on what you are comfortable with.

Sounds like my family. I never had a baby shower, but at my bridal shower no inserts were put in the invitations.
As the OP said... just add it to the bottom on the invite that The Parents are registered at X, Y and Z

for an evite -i would make it easy on people and put the link right to the registry
The parents are registered at x store and click here if you would like to get them something from their registry
