Baby Slings/Carriers
I'm sure this has been asked a million times, but what do you all recommend for baby-to-toddler slings/carriers? I see all the celebs toting their toddlers on their hips in slings, are they really helpful or just fashionable? If so, what do you recommend? We have the Baby Bjorn (haven't used it yet), but I'm also interested in a soft sling to use now (she's 6 weeks) thru toddler age if possible.
THANKS

Re: Baby Slings/Carriers
I have a Maya Wrap Sling, a Peanut Shell Sling, a Baby Bjorn and an Ergo. DS prefers the Ergo carrier over the sling right now because he can see out. I prefer it over the Bjorn because I find the support for both of us is better. The peanut shell is nice, but DS seemed too crowded in it even as a newborn. Now that he can sit in a different position it works much better for us. I really like the Maya Wrap sling. It is comfortable and simple.

I have one of these too and love it. We also used a Baby Bjorn from about 2-7 months. There are lots of different types that you can look at/research on

Re: Baby Slings/Carriers
I bought the hotsling and then returned it bc I didn't get a big enough size. I am waiting for BBB to get my size.
Do you really like it?

Re: Baby Slings/Carriers
I had a hot sling but it was the wrong size so I had to take it back. Of course they didn't have the correct size, so I'll probably just order online. If you go with that brand, I would go to BBB to try one on and see if it fits before you buy it! Target.com also has some hotslings for $39.99, which is a pretty good price. I

Re: Baby Slings/Carriers
I just got an Ergo and it is fabulous. I have a sling, but the Ergo holds DS so much more securely. He goes on my back and I can do dishes and laundry, etc. and he loves it up there.

I recommend www.lucky-baby.com They are pouch slings like the hotslings but less expensive, especially if you check out the sale page.

I have my hot sling on right now, love it! I also have a Bjorn, with the extra back support which is key IMO, and it's awesome too. I use both a lot. The hotsling in the house when I am doing chores, and the Bjorn for taking walks, either just with DD or with DD and the dogs. Just took a pic of DD in her sling with the computer cam. Wow, you're good...taking AND emailing a pic for a demo
Thanks for the recommendations ladies, looks like I have to research a little more, or I'll end up with 5 slings

Re: Baby Slings/Carriers
i have the psling and love it. it's lightweight, breathable and easy to breastfeed my baby in. i also have the bjorn. which i also love. but during these hot summer days, i've found the psling to be more handy and less sweaty.
