Baby's hand and feet turning purple?
Chloes feet sometimes turn a deep purple and they aren't cold? Her hands are always cold too and sometimes some of her fingers turn purple.
Is this normal?
She doesn't have a cold ( like no worry of not enough oxygen) but is always congested.

remind me how old the twins are now?
my sage had purple fingers (nailbeds, really) and feet on and off for the first couple months.
i was never really sure what to make of it, but she didn't seem bothered and it eventually stopped happening...

It is normal. It happens to my son all the time. I asked the doctor about it and he said it is normal and there is nothing to worry about...

Yes it happened to TJ as a baby so I took him to a cardiologist. He said it was totally normal because babies can't control their body temp like we do so they pull the heat from their extremities (hands, feet, even lips).

yup absolutely normal. Happened to jacen all the time. You only have to be concerned if it's their chest or face that turns purple.

Happens to Carolynn all the time.
I even asked her cardiologist about it. Both dr.s said "normal".
Have to watch around the mouth, thats when to be concerned.

I'll echo what other said that only worry if the mouth is purple or blue OR if the blueness of the feet or hands does not go away within an hour or two

DS had this happening to him all the time. I want to say up until he was probably 5 or 6 months old (he was really moving around by then and started crawling at 6 months).
