Baby's SS Card and Birth Certificate - How long did it take?
How long after the birth of your DC did you receive their SS Card and Birth Certificate?

We got the BC within a week or two after getting home. Her SS took about a month to get.

got his birth certificate in 2 weeks, SS card about 3 days later

DS will be 3 weeks on Thursday and I still haven't received either one! 
Should I call the hospital or give it more time? We need to add him to our insurance policy and we can't do that without his birth certificate.
ETA: Actually, the hospital probably wouldn't be able to help, right? Anyone know who I would call to get the status?

Emersons BC came about 3 weeks after and the SS car about a week after that

i would call the hospital to make sure the papers were filed... i got a call from the hospital 2 days after being home that said one of the papers was incomplete & they couldnt file it without asking me something
i would start there & then ask them where to call if they cant help you
