He can go - I have no problems with it.

I also know that my DH hates going to bachelor parties with strippers (I think he is the minority! Chat Icon )

Well my DH also gets NOTHING out of strippers or that sort of thing, so I guess both our hubbies are in the minority Chat Icon

That said - am I THRILLED when I hear that my DH might be at a party with strippers? well NO, not particuarly. But do I care/would I prevent him from going? Again- NO

What I DON"T agree with (and many of you may disagree with my feelings) is the "private parties' in hotel rooms and such, where strippers are hired as entertainment Chat Icon I dont mind strip clubs because there are some rules and limitations to what goes on, but the private stripper thingy is BAD NEWS (IMO) I've heard TOO many stories and its just not something I'd really like my husband to be a part of, IF I had the choice (which I don't , since he can choose what he wants to do)

AND NO it has nothing to do with trust, I trust my DH completely .. its just sleazy is all Chat Icon

So I have no problem with DH going to a bachelor party and I have no problem if he drinks or if there are strippers. Am I in the minority here?

i don't see anything wrong with it. as long as there's trust in a marriage, it shouldn't be a problem at all!!

Re: Bachelor Partys

exactly, here's what most women don't realize

These women are paid performers. The only interest they have in men is our money. What they say and do is all part of the act. Any decent guy wouldn't EVEN consider trying to get with a stripper.

With us, here is the deal. When it was my bachelor party, boosh and I talked. There were things I was allowed to do and things I was not. I followed the rules, which included telling her everything that happened. She did the same.

Now, on the rare occasion that I am exposed to a stripper I only watch, I don't participate. And if I do, it's for a brief time. And, it's gotten so that strippers don't do it for me anyway.

For other men, it's like this. Too much of something is no good. if your man is going frequently and getting lap dances, yeah that's a problem.

But for an event like a bachelor party that happens once in a blue moon, for a wife to disallow the husband to go, demonstrates a serious trust and insecurity problem. it's basically telling the guy, "I don't trust you enough not to be tempted into doing something physical with this girl."

IMO

Well said...like if your DH was going to cheat it's least likely he will with a stripper....check out who he works with thats where most cheating goes on.

I think it is because people automatically assume that the reason we say absolutely not is due to insecurities and I feel like that is not always the caseChat Icon

When I first started bartending, I bartended a bachelor party. There was a stripper and although most of the guys watched her little "show" with the groom to be, most of them just stood by the bar and hung out. Now if I was the groom to be's wife, I wouldnt have been so happy with what he participated in but the guys there really could care less about her. Its all for show.. He11 I even watched!! :)

Things DO get out of hand at bachelor parties though but its usually the axxhole loser guys that are the ones participating in the "games" that are out of control...
