Back from the Divi All Inclusive Resort in Aruba

Hi Guys!
I am back from vacay and had a great time!!!!
Altho..
I guess I didnt eat enough, the flight felt too long, and my equilibirum was off because I actually FAINTED on the airplane during descent. My poor boyfriend--he took such good care of me because I was sooo sick, needless to say it got our trip off to a rocky start..

Once at the resort tho we had a fantastic time. Because the resort is all inclusive we could use all the restaurants, bars, and pools at the Divi and the Tamrijn.

When you first enter the resort area it is all outside...We checked in and went to our room (we had requested a beachside room) and to be honest we werent thrilled with it.. It was on the first floor, there was no 2nd lock, and it was kind of rundown looking. We ended up switching to an Oceanview room on the 2nd floor with a much better view--and 2 locks! LOL..

The pools are gorgeous, the food was fantastic---we ate beef and ravioli one night, coconut shrimp the next, and we even cooked our own food over a cooking pit at one of the restaurants!!

We ventured out into the town one nite and ate at El Gaucho which hasta be the best steak we have ever had!!!--and coming from NY the land of steak houses--I def. think that says alot :)

The resort was sooo empty while we were there (Sept. is their slow time) and we spent tons of time laying on the gorgeous beach drinking daiquiris and other mixed drinks. The beach was a little rough but mostly it was gorgeous.

We had one day of hurricane rain and wind--and we spent it at the internet cafe and strolling the stores. My one gripe is that the resort doesnt have anything INSIDE to do accept gamble..
I wished during the storm that we could have watched a movie or a show but instead pple huddled under the bar or went back to their rooms.. The resort didnt seem to concerned that there was nothing entertaining going on..
The hurricane caused tons of mosquitoes in the area--which I am not sure if is the norm, and for some reason they dont sell any bug spray at the resort!!!! GRRRR..so i was tan and bitten but hey at leats i was tan...lol

All in all we had an amazing time, I know everyone says Aruba has amazing food (and that is def. true) but I would def. recommend this resort because the food was terrific and you cannt go wrong with yummy drinks all day.

Each nite they had a different show/music by the pool and games throughout the day--arts and crafts...bingo...or u can do excursions like atv riding and sunset sailboat rides..

for this vacay we focused more on the relaxing part but next time we go back we r def. going to do some more islandy things..

any questions on the resort feel free to fm me :)

and now for some pics....Chat Icon

Glad you had a good time. I love Aruba. I have to agree with you on El Gaucho, I don't usually eat steak but I made an exception there. Too bad about the weather and mosquitos.

Great review! Sorry you fainted! I almost fainted on a flight once. Awful. Glad you had a great trip in-spite of the bumpy startChat Icon

We have been to the Divi TWICE and you really cannot go wrong with them Chat Icon It's a moderate, but I love that it's a low-rise and you can go to both hotels.

Looks like a great time, but YIKES for the mosquitoes!
