Back Pain

I know, I know... back pain in pregnancy is normal. Well, this is more than that. I think I pulled a muscle lifting my DD onto a ride at a carnival this weekend. As soon as I put her down I just couldn't stand up straight again. I've been hobbling around ever since. I've stayed home the past two days to rest my back in the hopes it would improve, but it's only maybe slightly better. I've been taking tylenol and using heating pad/ice pack alternately and I feel no relief. I'm back at work because I can't afford to take anymore time off. And I'm going to Disney in 2 weeks and need to be feeling better. Chat Icon Is there anything else I can do? I'm going to try to go to the chiropractor on Friday if there's no improvement, but ugh, I really don't want to.

Re: Back Pain

The chiro fixed my back when something similar happened to me with one adjustment.

I could barely walk and I practically skipped out of there.
It's probably just something that got knocked out of alignment. The chiro can probably fix it in a session or 2.

Back Pain

If its that bad then definitely reach out to your OB maybe they can recommend a Chiro that will have experience with pregnant patients?

Re: Back Pain

Thanks, I did make an appointment with my regular chiro, who said it's fine that I'm pregnant, but he can't see me til Tuesday. Chat Icon Meanwhile, I'm shuffling to work like I'm 90 years old.

I took a long soak in a hot bath last night and I woke up feeling okay but as soon as I got moving, right back to it. Chat Icon

Oh man, seriously! I didn't realize how much harder pregnancy would be this time around. Luckily my back is feeling better.. just in time for my appointment. Chat Icon Now I have a stomach virus. I just can't catch a break!

How are you feeling? Running after two has to be twice as hard!!!
