I feel like those who are answering do not have kids in adult size shoes. My just turned 11 yo is in a men's 8 and my nearly 9 yo is in a woman's 6. Kids shoes are so much less expensive than adult shoes.
As for shopping, gap kids is having a good sale. I got 50% off and the 8% cash back from ebates today. I bought 2 winter coats, 3dresses, 4 shirts, three leggings, and one pants for $240. I will fill in as the winter comes with clothing later on.

Yes, my 11 year old still wears size 4 kids shoes. My son is 19, and I still don't spend that much money on shoes though. But again, we aren't the "latest and greatest, trend,label" kind of family. He wears Nike shoes that are less than $50 at Marshalls/TJ Maxx
