Bad Cough in a Toddler
What can I do?
Over 2 weeks ago I brought him to the Peds and he had a double ear infection. He finished his meds last Saturday. The last few days he's had this hacking cough. Since we were having lots of pple over for Super Bowl with kids and the cough wasn't getting better I took him to the Ped Sun morning. TOld them about the ear infection and it may not have cleared out. He's been acting totally normal and no temp Both ears looked good. One had some wax that the Ped cleaned out (we're not supposed to do that, right). He said in his chest sometimes he heard something and sometimes he didn't, which meant it could be breaking up. He said try children's dimetap or even a nebulizer I just fear it could lead to him getting sick again. Will the meds work?

Re: Bad Cough in a Toddler
I would neb.. Once I hear my kids starting to cough I neb 'em 2x a day- it keeps the cough from settling in and getting worse.

Re: Bad Cough in a Toddler
the nebulizer usually helps with us. Keep the humidifier on all the time.
Hope he feels better soon
