bad feet
I don't want to post in health since I hardly go in there. I am a shoe fanatic and love shoes. Problem is I have bunions. Seems hereditary bc I never wore crazy heels or was a dancer. Always into working out, but my feet are getting worse. I can't wear pumps or ballet slipper shoes. When I wear heels it has to be strappy. I have narrow feet too, but bc I have bunions it makes it hard for shoes bc they get wide at the top.
I never have been to a podiatrist yet, but as I get older I feel like I should. I was actually looking online and saw some splints to wear at home or night for relief. Anyone ever use those?

Re: bad feet
Can't help b/c I don't have bunions, but as a fellow foot-issue sufferer (Planter Fasciitis) you have my sympathy!!

Re: bad feet
I'm a life long bunion sufferer. My mom had them too, and I can tell you very honestly, nothing but surgery helps. My mom just had hers removed and her feet look amazing! The recovery is kind of hard though. She had to be completely off her feet for 1 week after each foot was operated on. I don't have the time for that.

I was a dancer too and nothing helped but surgery. I have had 8 surgeries on my feet. Unfortunately, even after surgery the bunions may come back...mine did..twice. Can't hurt to see the dr and have them take some xrays of your feet if they hurt that much.

Re: bad feet
I have bunions too, due to no fault of my own. My mom dad and sister have them too. Luckily, I don't have much pain with them, but finding comfortable is always a problem. When I was about 12/13 I went to a foot doctor and he told me that by the time I was 20 I would need surgery, luckily enough I never had pain to warrant the surgery. I am now thinking about it mostly for the aesthetics, I hate looking at my feet, but the recovery I have been told by two doctors is long, no pressure for at least a week or two on the foot then a walking cast for 6 weeks!
