Re: Bad Results from Level II -- pls help!
My level 2 showed that my son had a choroid plexus cyst as well. While my doctor did tell me about it, he also said it was very common, not to worry, and that it usually goes away on its own. I did not have an amnio. Turns out, the CPC went away on its own and my son was born totally healthy. Just thought I'd share some hope!

Re: Bad Results from Level II -- pls help!
I'm going through this right now, but I had different findings.
At my level II they found echogenic focus and echogenic bowel. They could both be normal variants, but based on my age (33) having both present gives my chances at a chromosomal abnormality at around 1 in 47. I met with a genetic counselor today, and it was really just an information session. She told me all of the possible things that could be present, asked me what I would want to do, and then we set up the amnio for Tuesday.
I am scared sh.tless, but I figure I'll just wait until the FISH results come back from the amnio to worry.
If you want to talk more, feel free to FM me.

DH and I are devastated right now - hoping someone can set us at ease.
Had level II today and it showed some choroid plexus cyst (CPC) on the brain and curved 5th digits. Docs are sending us for an amnio, but does anyone have experience with this??
We're freaking out, but trying not to. Any help would be great.
ETA: My ultrascreen was normal at week 12.[/QUOTE
this happened to my sister. she the was told there was a cyst on the babies brain and sent her to a high risk dr. she declined the amnio b/c she was not going to do anything about it. they even told where she could go to teminate that faralong well in the end after all the stress and aggravation her little girl was born 100% healthy and now 2 yrs old she is sharp as a tack!!! please dont worry too much. did they tell you that it can dissapate/dissolve? hang in there

Re: Bad Results from Level II -- pls help!
curved 5th digits..that means curved pinky fingers? My pinky's are crooked. I never knew that was a sign of something. My grandmother has it too..my mother doesn't but I do. So weird.
Im perfectly fine. the bad thing about going for tons of tests is that it leads to tons of worry..most times unnecessarily. I have to go for a follow up sono this week to b/c my dr's office and hospital are confused. Im not worrying too much b/c thus far everything has been ok. But dr's will make you nuts for sure!
Please keep us updated.

Re: Bad Results from Level II -- pls help!
My best friend's baby had this and it turned out to be NOTHING! My goddaughter is a perfectly healthy, beautiful 9 year old! It really made my friend a wreck though during the pregnancy...try to stay positive...more times than not I think they go away.

Update: We had a miracle today - we had the amnio today and during the sono before the test the perinatologist (sp?) COULDN'T SEE WHAT WAS THERE ON FRIDAY! The soft markers of CPCs and curved 5th digits were GONE. The baby waved his hands as if to say, "Gotcha".
Thank you again to everyone for your thoughts and prayers. Our amnio results will be back within 10 days, but I'm hopeful again....
