Baptism party question - if the restaurant offers dessert, did you get a cake also?
The restuarant offers a choice of rice pudding, cheesecake or banana cream pie.
Would you order a cake as well or is that too much?
I'm just not sure if those options appeal to kids, and we have 19 kids coming to the baptism.
WDYT?

Ok, second question.
Since DD is not old enough to have cake, would it be odd of me to order a tiramisu cake because it is so yummy and scumptious and my fave or do I have to stick to something more traditional?
I got the tiramisu cake for DS' 1st birthday and everyone thought it was odd but pretty much devoured every last piece and came back for seconds.

The restaurant where we had DDs offered cake, or brownie sundae.
We went with the brownie sundae and still bought our own cake.

We did ours at a VFW hall and did a dessert table instead of a cake. I find that a lof people don't eat the cake (at least my DH's family doesn't). They loved the other desserts though (cheesecake, chocolate cake, chocolate strawberries, ice cream sundaes).

I skipped the cake. I liked the dessert options.
I'm not really a fan of those cakes, so it was easy for me.

I have another question to add to the OP's question! If you get your own cake to bring to the restaurant do they normally charge anything extra to cut it for you? Since it's not being provided by them? I've heard of doing this for weddings, not sure if anyone's experienced it with another kind of party such as a baptism, shower, etc.
