BASIC split pea soup recipe
i bought a bag of split peas from best yet and i thought there would be a basic recipe on the back but there is not. i googled and became a little overwhelmed at the variations.
usually I'm comfortable just kind of winging the recipes but I'm out of it....can someone just tell me what to do haha??
i have diced ham too :)

One tip I found was do not add salt until it is finished cooking. For some reason it takes longer for the peas to soften up.

thanks for the tip...i ended up doing that anyway bc i used chicken broth and diced ham wasn't sure if it would need extra salt.
