Bay Leaf tea for colic babies

Has anyone tried to boil a piece of a bayleaf to help their colicky baby?? Has this worked? Thanks!

I didn't use it for colic... but I did use it for her hiccups and the bottle says that it can help colic babies also... GRIPE water.

Get it in CVS/Walgreens... just about anywhere... Took away her hiccups and appeared to help any tummy issues she was having at the moment.

ETA: I never did the bay leaf thing.

Re: Bay Leaf tea for colic babies

i read about the gripe water and if i remember correctly it said not to use if there is a history of kidney disease and my husband has a kidney disease and the type he has doesnt show up til you are around 6 years old.. so I didnt want to chance it with DD. Im just trying to find something to help her.. she still has bouts every now and again even at 3-1/2 months old.

I've never heard of bay leaf tea, but chammomile is pretty well established as a colic reliever.

Never heard of it. They used fennel tea for me when I was an infant. Not sure if it actually works though

Fennel is a very big part of gripe water!
