I'd drink, but I'm pregnant.

This newly developed attitude is terrible.......we are either best buds, or worst enemies.

It's like kid-sized PMS!

i totally agree!!! i didn't find the two's that bad it was the three's that were horrible!!! the attitude and the freshness were unreal!!! good luck hon!!!

Yes!! I always say who ever said the 2's are terrible never had a 3 year old......sorry.

Oh no... and I thought the temper tantrums at the drop of a dime now were bad (DS is almost 16 months).... You mean I have at least 2 more years of this?

Funny, I literally had this convo with DH today. My sweet boy all of a sudden is having tantrums and being very demanding, hitting sometimes even He'll be 3 in March. I hear you about the drink thing, but I'm pregnant too (which scares the heck out of me too) The idea of a crazy 3 year old and screaming newborn is making me scared for my life!

Three was the worst! I worked when DS was small, and I couldn't wait until Monday morning during certain attitude-y weekends!

I think it depends on what you perceive as terrible....

Is he more assertive and more feisty? Yes. More active, mopre aware of his environment and wanting to interact more with it. Testing his boundaries, and testing the rules. Questioning me. Asking why, why why why why about everything.

I'm exhausted. They are exhausting at 3. But I have been exhausted since he was born.

Every age has their challenges. But they don't turn into mass murderers or burn the house down. They just start realizing they may have more power than they realized.

We just have to work harder as parents to teach them that they have SOME power over themselves. But not all. We are still in charge.

That's the challenge. It's more us than them, really...

Oh no. We are almost half way through the 2's now, and it isn't pretty. It gets worse??

Yes! At least all my friends with boys say this! My friend with DDs its split between 2 being horrible and 3 being the worst.

DS was a GREAT 2. Never had an issue, never threw tandrums in public, never answered back, etc. He was just a really good kid.

A few months before he turned 3, I need to literally drag him from a store crying. That was the first sign. Then right before he turned 3 he started yelling back, answering back, being "fresh" crying when he didnt get his way etc.
Its most definately the terrible 3s in my house!

75% of the time he is my angel, so sweet, loving ,kissing and hugging me, the other 25% I need a drink (and I am pregnant too but have given it serious thought at time! )
