Bed/Wake Time
Sorry for all the questions today!!
This one is about wake/bed time. DS has been waking earlier. He used to be up at 7am but now he is getting up closer to 6am.
He starts his bedtime routine about 6:30 and is sleeping by 7pm most nights.
Is there any way to get him to go to bed a bit later and perhaps wake a bit later? I am sure the answer is no but I was wondering if anyone has had luck doing this.

Re: Bed/Wake Time
I have the same issue! She is down for the count by 7 pm and some mornings (like today!) she is getting up at 5 am!
I try to keep her up later, but she gets SOOOOO cranky and cries and screams and she just NEEDS to go to bed.
They say you can try to extend it by 5 min per night until you get up to about 15-30 min later bed time.
But there have been times where we were out or whatever and she didn't get to bed until 8 pm or later and she is STILL up at the same time the next morning.
So I am not sure how that would work!

Re: Bed/Wake Time
I don't see why not! It will probably take a few days to adjust, but I think if you slowly put him down later and later, he'll start to wake up later.
Loey has always gone to bed at 8:30 and just recently moved up to 8 once he went down to one nap (also used to sleep until 6:30 and now sleeps until at least 7:30!)

This is exactly what keeps happening to me!!! Up at the same time no matter what time he goes down. This morning I just wished he would've stayed asleep just a wee bit longer

Re: Bed/Wake Time
Like Hayley said, I think it can be done. You also may have to adjust his nap schedule and make his PM nap a little later so he can stay up later.

Re: Bed/Wake Time
Okay perhaps I will try keeping him up. He is not a total crankster when I keep him up so I think it can be done. Problem is as I said before he wakes the same time. I think it could be because I didn't give him a chance to adjust
