Besides Power washing, is there something to get this green stuff off?

Besides Power washing, is there something to get this green stuff off?
This is a "before" picture, but the slate steps near the front door are getting a green film on them. I guess it's some form of mold?  Is there anything I can use to remove it? Bleach?

I don't have much advice, but I worry about the bleach thing...what if it permanantly bleaches the slate????
Can you call a masonry company and ask them?? Also, try Home Depot - they give advice for free all the time!
