Best April Fools Day Pranks?
Curious to hear your best April Fools Day pranks.
I'm not very creative when it comes to pranks... The best I did was tape the sprayer extension on the sink so it sprayed my parents when they turned the sink on in the morning.
My dad got it first. He thought it was funny enough to leave it there for my mother to experience, too.
Hey, I was like 12... that was the best I could do.
I'm SURE people have much better stories than that, though!

Yeah, but they're cute AND have a great sense of humor. My dad thought it was funnier than I did.

Re: Best April Fools Day Pranks?
This probably falls under the category of "You Had To Be There" ... but I'll give a shot at explaining it ....
When DH & I first started dating, we went away for the weekend in Boston with the friends who introduced us. On April Fools, we went to this little pub for Brunch before we got on the road to head home.
One of them had a huge addiction to coffee ... he drank at least two of those 7-11 Big Gulps a day.
DH works in a hospital, and was able to get an IV bag. We emptied it and gave it to the Bartender/Waiter ... and explained to him what we needed his help with.
As we were wrapping things up, the Bartender/Waiter comes over to ask if we want coffee. We all say "no thanks."
Bartender/Waiter looks right at our friend, and says "You sure? You can take it to-go!!!!" ... and slams the IV bag filled with coffee on the table.
7 years later and 5 cities later, he has put that IV bag up in every cubicle/office he's had!

Every single year I would always do the kitchen sprayer for my mom.........It got her every single time. My dad always knew to stay away from the sink.
They got me back though. One year I took my water bottle out of the fridge and went to the gym.......So im on the tredmill and I take a sip of water........THEY PUT VINEGAR IN IT!!!!!
Its funny now but back then it wasnt

I did this to my roommate in college once... she always made me leave the room at night when i was studying. she went to sleep like at 11:00 PM and I pulled all-nighters and "the lamp keeps me up." wah-wah!!!
anyway, we (me and other girls on the hall) knew that she woke up around 1 AM because we'd all be in the lounge studying. we took clear packing tape and taped the door frame from top to bottom with the sticky side facing in.... BAM! walked right into it when she was fast asleep. then, she went into her usual stall which we plastic wrapped. got her good!
She was ******!

I always liked it when my friends would empty out someone's dorm room & set it up exactly as it was only outside the dorm.

I'm thinking of setting DH's bedside clock 2 hours early.... he'll go to sleep at 12, I'll creep over there and set it back to 10... so when his alarm goes off at 6, it'll really be 4. That'll go over well.

Re: Best April Fools Day Pranks?
My friend got someone I didn't know to call me and leave a message. She said her name was Myra Maines and to please call her back at this number 555-xxxx. the number she left was for a funeral parlor.
I didn't call back, since I just said to myself "must be a wrong #...." but she got a whole bunch of people on this one!

Re: Best April Fools Day Pranks?
I put white hand cream on a coworker's ear and mouthpiece on his phone and then called him. He immediately rested it on his shoulder when he picked it up so it went flying off. He wiped his face and then smelled his fingers.
A girl found an old moldy english muffin in her drawer so we sent it to people through the inter-office mail.
We would call one extension, press conference, then call another extension so that two people would pick up at the same time and think the other one was calling them.
I found a mock-up of a TPS report (from Office Space), copied it, and included it in everyone's mailbox with a memo about making sure they were filled out.
I caused a bunch of error messages on someone's computer, took a screenshot of it, and then made it his wallpaper. So when he tried to click "OK" on the messages, he couldn't.
I found an animated screensaver that looks like the screen of an old Commodore 64 and set it on my coworker's screen.
I dialed into the voice mail system and changed a few people's greetings to a song by StrongBad from homestarrunner.com (the song "The System is DOWN")
There were other things but I can't discuss those here.

It helps when you have full access to all of the computers, files, and phones in the company.
Btw, here's the screensaver - http://www.kephyr.com/c64screensaver/
It only works until they move their mouse, obviously. I also set a password on the screensaver and left him a post it note that said, "The password is... the best network administrator in all the land." (my name)

Are you going to make him late to work?? Shouldn't you set the clock to 2,...and when he gets up he thinks it is 6? But it really is 4?

What about setting the volume all the way up and putting an air raid drill noise or something for his startup sound?
Anything from Full Metal Jacket would do it, but then you could be canned. Then again, doesn't seem like a bad deal right now, does it?
I'm sure most of this will get starred out, but I think this dialogue would be great.
WHOA had to edit out that dialogue. A whole lot there that the LIF software didn't star out!
I'll FM ya instead.
