Best booster seat for 5 yr old?
My britax marathon is expiring (5 yrs since purchase) and I think my 5 yr old is ready for a booster at any rate. He is average weight but on the tall side. My car comes with built in boosters but, I think he is too young for them. Pls recc! Thanks!

Best booster seat for 5 yr old?
I have a Evenflo Convertable one in my car and a Graco booster for the other car, no back just bottom with the handles. My daughter is 40lbs and will be 5 in 2 mnths and its perfect.

I have the britax parkway with latch. The latch version is available at BBB and Amazon, but not at BRU. The latch is good through 100 lbs.

We choose the Britax Frontier when our Marathon was expiring since we still wanted the 5 point harness.

We have a high back Turbo Booster, which sucks to be honest. The seatbelt always locks up before you can pull it out. Then I have to wrangle the entire seat to try to get it out of the car to then pull the seatbelt out, and start over. This happens in any car that we use it in, so it's not just my vehicle. Bugs the crap out of me! We also have a backless one, and that one is fine.
If you are looking for 5 point harness, we had an Evenflo Generations 65, which was fine.

Check your car owner's manual on this though. For mine, the manual says not to use the LATCH over 40lbs. I think that would override what the carseat says, since the anchors in the car are what hold the seat in place.

My owners manual is in agreement with the seat, but thanks for the heads up.  It was one of the reasons I got the seat. It can't be a projectile and it has a center strap as well.
