best bottle for very gassy babies
DD is very gassy...farting and burping all the time even when she's not being burped. I took her to the ped today because she hasn't been eating much and every time she eats it's clear she's in pain from all the gas. She's clearly hungry but has no room for food from all the gas.
I'm using playtex drop ins and the dr suggested trying dr. browns. Anyone use them and are they really that bad to clean?

I found the drop ins great for gas IF you push all the air out of them before feeding.
Do you push the bags up until liquid squirts out the nipple?
That really seemed to help!

I use Dr Browns. There are a lot of pieces but they aren't too bad. No issues with them here.

My pediatrician said the playtex bottles are the best ones if you push out the air. If you dont push the air out you aren't using them to their advantage.

First we used drop ins and it wasn't working for my colic gassy baby. Dr browns worked so well and helped himburp much easier. We waited over 2 months I wish we switched him sooner

Playtex drop ins were the absolute best for both my kids, but the trick is you have to squeeze all of the air out of them.

I used the playtex drop-ins and pushed the air out. It didn;t seem to help DS though. I switched to Dr. Browns and noticed a BIG difference. He still was gassy but not all the time and he wasn't all scrunched up in pain all the time. They are a PITA to clean though.

Use your fingers to push up on the drop in bag- push up until a little liquid squirts out the nipple.
That will push out any excess air that the baby can swallow while drinking.

DS #1 was crazy gassy. We switched him to born free and I swear by them, made such a difference.

we use dr browns but i find them to be incredibly annoying because there are so many pieces and they always leak on me for some reason... maybe cuz they know i dont like them...

I love the dr brown bottles. These bottles along with mylicon helped our DS. We tried playtex vent Aire and avent bottles but the dr browns worked best for us.
