i havent bought it here...but in italy they had what is called buffalo mozzarella and it was AMAZING! maybe you could see if they sell that here

you can buy buffallo mozzarella in fairway in plainview (off manetto hill rd).... there is no comparison! that cheese is delish

I like fresh mozzarella, but Buffalo Mozzarella is 10 times better because its salty and the texture is better IMO
Fairway i have found is the best place to get real buffalo mozzeralla from Italy.
They sell the balls in the water bags for 9.99 a pound, its expensive but sooooooooooooo worth it, pick up some beefsteak tomatoes while your there and then head to the oil and vinegar aisle and pick up some balsamic glaze!
The glaze is very thick and not like vinegar at all.

I know this thread is a few days old, but I love the fresh mozzarella from Uncle Giuseppe's in Smithtown. They make it on premises it is sooo good.
