Best Museums for kids in NYC
Kids are off school next week - ages 7 and 3...thinking of taking them to NYC for a couple of days and hitting up some indoor activity such as a museum or two.
Have heard great things about the natural history museum...anything else..or any other indoor activities..not a broadway show as dont think my 3 year old will sit through a full production.

I usually visit natural history & metropolitan museum of art.
I hear there is a nice fire museum too, but haven't been yet.
With young kids, I only do one exhibit at a time, so I'll just see the dinosaurs, or the stuffed animal habitats, or the sea creatures, or the space part. One at a time avoids exhaustion and lends to more trips.

My 3.5 and 5.5 year olds love the metropolitan mueum and the natural history museum. If you drive it and it isn't too cold you could park at the met and explore a bit then walk down to the central park zoo. You would need to go early if you want to park.

Childrens Museum of Manhattan on the Upper West Side...lots of hands on things for the kids to do and keep busy.
