Best site/way to book Disney
How do you book your Disney vacation? Through a travel agent or just directly through the Disney World site? I'm just starting to research but am a first timer (first timer with my own family...I've gone in the past as a kid). TIA!

Re: Best site/way to book Disney
The Disney website is GREAT and that's how I book all of my Disney trips. If you're a seasoned Disney person then this is the way to go.
However, if you're a complete Disney first timer I *might* consider using an agent. There is just SO much planning with a Disney trip between the dining reservations and Fast Pass reservations you really need to know how to plan out your days accordingly. It can't hurt to have some help with all of that.

Re: Best site/way to book Disney
I am going to use an agent. To me, it's overwhelming - there's so much info online and so much to know/do. I would rather use someone "in the know" and up to date on all of the changes and current happenings (e.g., which hotels are under renovation, etc.). It doesn't cost anything, and talking/emailing with a live person can help customize any trip for your family's needs.
I used Travel Kerri (vendor on this site) to book a Disney Cruise that we took last June, and she was able to give me info on various things (ships, itineraries, pros/cons of certain things) that I wouldn't have otherwise known about... or that may have taken me a long time to search out on my own. I liked being able to say - "we want this" or "my son is 5 years old and likes y" and get her recommendations.
I am planning a trip to Disney World (hopefully for next spring/summer), and will definitely be contacting Kerri to get her input and ultimately book it.
