BF moms: did you pumping output increase over time?
hey ladies,
i am a little worried because my pumping output isn't so great. i am pumping after each feeding, and i get 2oz total max, but mostly only about 1oz total.
i've been BFing for two and a half weeks, and will have been pumping for a week tomorrow. can i expect my output to increase over time?

yeah, i been pumping for 5 wks and there are times i get a bottle full and others btwn 2-4 ozs. eat right and drink water and it will increase. sounds like you have right amt. for a week

if u are pumping right after feeding then you should only get about 2 oz's or so. If you pump in the place of feeding you will get more.

Yes. When I started pumping DS was 2.5 months. I think I was pumping 3-4 oz per pumping. Now I pump 25-30 oz per day. DS is 4 months old and takes several bottles of 5 oz. I usually pump what he eats. 4.5 to 6 oz per pumping. I get more in the morning. About 7-10 oz depending on overnight BFing.

Yeah!! That is the left over. If you are pumping after a feeding it means your baby ate and that is a bonus!

Yeah thats great, I can hardly even get 1oz if I pump after a feeding!! My little man sucks me dry!!

I agree sounds totally right to me. I'm happy when I get 2 oz. after a feeding. I usually don't and I've been pumping for about a month
