BF Moms of babies around 3 months q for you...
How many times per day (midnight to midnight) does your DC nurse? DS is 12 wks and in the past two weeks he has gone from 6 times per day to five times per day and I am wondering if this is normal or if I should be making more of an effort to get in an extra feeding. thank you

When DD was 3 mos she ate 6-7x per 24 hours.

Unfortunately, DS is a big fan of little meals. He rarely eats both sides in one sitting. So, from about noon to 8pm he eats about 10 times. The rest of the day is about 5 times.

At around 10 weeks, my DD started eating only 5x/day (and gaining weight like a champ!). If she's happy and satisfied, I'd leave it alone. Consider yourself lucky, actually.

At that point my DD nursed on an avg. of 10-12 in a 24 hour period. when first born it was 14x a day. She only took 1-2oz. per feeding and was slow

My son was the same way, he was a snacker!
I would say to nurse on demand and as long as he has wet diapers and is gaining weight, everything is fine.
