If you don't want to buy one, you can rent one from the hospital, usually - that is what I did Chat Icon

I have the Medela PIS Advance, I wanted the double pump, and ai bought the hands free bra to go with it. It worked really well with DS and I am hoping it does this time too. Well worth the money!

This isn't a manual pump, right? I still have to get my pump. Chat Icon

Ameda Purely Yours....the same one I used with DS for the first two weeks. My doc recommened it because it is a "closed" system. Meaning less of a chance of contamination.

Re: BF Moms: Which pump are you getting and Why?

I got the Medela Freestyle because Medela is supposed to be best. I only *splurged* for the freestyle because it was covered by insurance, otherwise I would've gotten the PIS.

How often do you intend to use a pump and how long do you plan on pumping? I got the Medela PISA. It's an efficient double electric pump. It's easy to carry and great for those who plan on pumping at work. I used the pump to build a freezer stash and when I went back to work. I had no issues the entire year that I used it.

This is the one I have, I liked it. I think I just need to get a few new tubes and I'll be good to go.

I'm getting the Medela Freestyle. My insurance doesn't cover it, but I'll buy it directly from one of the Medela authorized sellers to get a MUCH better price than at BBB or BRU.

I rented a pump and it was great. I also borrowed a pump in style from a friend and while it wasn't as good as the hospital grade rental, it was pretty good. If you plan to exclusively pump though I would get a hospital grade pump for the first month to help establish your supply.

I registered for this one. I wanted the freestyle but this one was a lot less $ and I am thinking about taking a 6 month leave of absence from work...so the freestyle wouldnt be as necessary then.

The Medela Freestyle because it was top rated and my insurance covered it so I figured why not get the best!

I have the Medela Pump In Style Advanced. I just packed it away after 10 months of exclusive pumping, and no complaints here. I will be using it with #2 as well.

Re: BF Moms: Which pump are you getting and Why?

Since I don't work, I mainly use the manual Isis pump.

Last baby I was really engorged and rented one from the hospital to help out with my issues.
