BFing moms who use bottles - which bottles/nipples do you prefer?

saw the pediatrician and lactational consultant yesterday, both of whom agreed that breastfeeding jonah is well enough established for me to introduce a bottle.

i am looking forward to a little more sleep

which nipples have you guys found work best for your DC?

I'm not BFing anymore, but DS did great with Playtex Drop-Ins silicone (they might be called natural latch).

I'm a bf mom and I use Dr. Brown's wideneck bottles. It's the only bottle Christopher would take.

Back when DD took a bottle, she liked the Playtex dropins. As you can see by my avatar title, DD is no longer taking a bottle , so take that with a grain of salt.

We used Dr. Brown's, but with all the hoopla with BPA we've switched to Playtex Drop-ins and she loves them.

First we used the aventaire then we found out about the BPA. (latex nipple)

Then we used the Medela bottles- we found alot of air bubbles and our DD was getting gassy.(latex nipple)

Then we used Playtex drop ins- DD wasnt getting the formula out. and found very confusing to get air out of. Dh didnt like them and felt my dd wasnt getting enough food. (latex nipple)

Now were using Dr. browns and seems so far all good (with silicone nipples)


As you can see you make have to experiement with your child too to find what he/she will like. So suggestion dont go and buy a bunch of one kind and accessiores until you know you and your child are happy with bottle.

I have used the Avent Bottles from day one. They seem to work very well and DS has no problem with them.

I use Born Free, they work great, no gas.

I have always used Avent with no problem.

sounds like it it's all about what your individual baby prefers. right now i've got a couple of avent bottles, so i will try them first and then move on to the others. thanks for the input!!

Playtex Drop ins work great for DS.
