Big Bang Theory
Does anyone else like this show? I think it's hysterical.
Neither DH nor my mother find it humorous. My mom says it's too "slow."'
Do I like this because I'm a huge nerd at heart?

DH and I think it's hilarious - but I think you need to be a geek to get half the jokes, and then if you're only a semi-geek you get the jokes but they aren't as funny.
I was cracking up at the line:
"I think in this situation, the proper metaphor would be 'stuck in a river of excrement in a native american vessel without any means of propulsion"

Love this show. I think Sheldon is priceless. The only thing that bugs the hell out of me, it the NO glass in Leonards glasses. Its like we can't see they have no glass in them. My only complaint.

DH and I think this is one of the funniest shows on TV. We laugh for almost the whole half hour.
DH is a geek. He majored in Computer Science, loves Science in general, Star Trek, Star Wars, video games, etc. He even has the Klingon dictionary. He gets pretty much ALL the jokes.
I am a semi-geek. I get most of the references b/c of him, but maybe not quite to the degree that he does. He actually paused the show yesterday to try and figure out if a mathematical formula was accurate!
We LOVE watching this show...and singing along to the theme song, since it's by Barenaked Ladies, one of my favorite bands.

My favorite episode so far this season was the one where Raj was featured in People magazine and Sheldon had to be nice and smile. When he said "this is so hard" and then gave a scary looking smile I couldnt stop laughing.

I think it's a very creative, different show! All of the characters have a distinct spin...
Yesterday I loved when Penny asked Kuthrapali (sp) something about Lassie
And Howard cracks me up too.
Oh yea and that one when Sheldon was forced to smile..I laughed so hard I was practically in tears....
I guess I'm a nerd at heart too!

DH and I love this show!!! My DH is a science teacher, loves video games and has always loved Star Wars and other comic book heroes. So, this makes the show so much funnier to us.
