That sounds great, I'm happy for you.
I don't know how old you are but I had a similar change of career around age 26. I finally figured out the things I enjoyed and was good at and went back to school to increase my chances of entering my chosen field.
The advice I can give you is don't let discouragement deter you from reaching your goal. There were so many days that I felt extremely pressured to keep up the pace I was going at. But I finished school and found a good job to get me started.
It's exciting and it sounds great right now but I wish for you the diligence and patience to do your best and get your schooling completed!

...and still at the age where I don't mind saying how old I am. See how long that lasts! 
thank you so much for your advice - that will really come in handy. it is going to be hard and i need to remember to always stay focused and be consistent.
