Birthday dilemma
Hi all, my DS is turning 9 at the end of Oct. I wanted to organize a drive by and put it out there that the kids are welcome to come in the backyard for pizza, cake and we could make s’mores( and maybe do some Halloween activities?? (Weather permitting). It’s gonna be a bunch of 9 & 10 yr old boys... do you think they‘ll be bored with that and expect some sort of entertainment? So hard to plan when it could be cold, raining etc and I don’t really want them in the house. Any ideas/suggestions would be helpful! Thanks all!

Birthday dilemma
I would skip the drive by and just invite a few friends over to hang in the yard like you planned. That way you’ll have a definite head count of how many kids to expect. How long do you plan to host them? I’d set up some games for them to play to keep them entertained (relay races, etc...).

you can always rent a tent so you're covered if it rains, this way they can stay outside

Re: Birthday dilemma
What about a pinata? The boys always love that. They also loved when we did the cider donuts on a string and they had to try to eat them. Bobbing for apples was another one they liked. You could go to the Dollar Tree and get buckets for each kid so everyone could bob in their own water.
