Birthing Ball
Anyone get one of these to use on the day of their labor/birth? Does anyone know where this can be purchased? DH thinks I should get one, anyone have feedback on the use and was it worth the investment?

Re: Birthing Ball
All it is a stability ball. Honestly it depends how long you plan to try to go without an epidural. I went all natural and used it a ton but probably not until 4-5 cm. My hospital provided it though.

Re: Birthing Ball
I just have a large stability ball. You can get them wherever they have fitness equipment, or simply just order one online (just make sure the size is right). I use mine already- I sit on it & rotate my hips to start getting them ready, I feel it helps keep me open & flexible for the "Big Day". We will also bring it to the hospital.

WHAT IS THE RIGHT SIZE??
I see Target carries them, they say 55 cm. Is that the right size? How much weight does these things hold?

Re: Birthing Ball
It goes more by height than weight. It should have a height chart on the box. I didn't use it during labor, but found it very helpful towards the end of my pregnancy like Andrea mentioned, and I used it alot PP when i was sore.

Re: Birthing Ball
I used it at home before I went to the hospital. It was really soothing when I had contractions. I also used it after giving birth bc I had an episiotomy and it was comfortable to sit on.
