biting! how to stop it!
My 13 mth old DS and his new "thing" is biting. It hurts! I usually pick him up, look in his eye, sternly say "no biting" and place him in a time out. he cryings for about a minute and its all over.
is there a way to stop the biting all together (short of getting that hannibal lector mask)

My son did this to me a few times. He was in daycare and I was very afraid of him biting other kids. After the 3rd time he bit me, I bit him back. He hasn't done it since. It sounds terrible and it was really hard for me but it worked.

DD went through this a little while ago - for a short ( thank god) period of time.
She had this thing for biting me on the knee when I was sitting on the couch.
A small smack of her hand with NO BITING did the trick for us! But now she slaps us in the face, so

ITA! I did this and it freaked my DS out so bad that he never bit again.
