Blood Banking for 2nd Child
When I chose to bank my DD's blood, I assumed that would be good enough for my next DC (chances were good they'd be a match if D #2 eber needed it.)
However, my obgyn told me I should be banking #2's blood as well.
Just wondering what everyone else does and what, if anything, your obgyn's/pediatricians advised.
I was hoping tom save a few bucks, but would feel horribly guilty if future DS ever needed it and it wasn't there for him.

We banked for number 2, and are questioning whether we should for baby #3....I see the reasoning for banking 2...they say some of the time the person is better off using a siblings cord blood....

i banked both. i think sometimes a sibling's blood is better than your own. this way they would each have theirs and a sibling's.

I think we are leaning to not banking #3
because it may be overkill

I banked it, and I used a different place as well. for DS I used Viacord and DD I used CBR. Now I feel like if something happens to one of the places I am covered, but it is $$$$$ to keep on banking this blood!

Same here 
Someone on another thread had said the cord blood company actually said it was unnessesary..I still have the guilt thing hanging over my head ...With weeks to go I really need to make a decison and stick with it

I have only 1 DC (17 months) and we did Viacord. I know when he get Prego w/ #2 that will def. be a decision also b/c of the $ and I am sure the guilt will be over my head too!!UGH
