Blood Results Good News and Bad News
So...my numbers went from 17,000 at 5 weeks to 54,000 at 6 weeks...and my progesterone went up as well...
but...
they called me today to say that I came up as a carrier for Cystic Fibrosis  I cried....then searched and saw many posts about girls on here also testing positive. Now I'm gonna stress out until we get the results back from DH who has to get the bloodwork done today
I'm at work, nobody knows I'm pregnant so I can't tell anyone why I'm sad.

 I'm sorry, I can only imagine how sacred you are. My advice to you is what my DH says to me, "No use worrying, until there is something to worry about". Now granted I know its so much easier said than done but remember there are so many woman who are given scary possible news about their babies but than things are perfectly fine.  I would just keep talking to us and keep your head up. We are all here for you!

this happened to my friend too and her DH was negative. try not to worry until there's something to really worry about.

Thanks everyone both his sisters have been pregnant and never mentioned testing positive... I'm going to ask them....do you think if they are negative, my dh will be too? My DH didn't ask how long it will take to get the results so I guess I'll call Monday or Tuesday.
I'm trying not to think about it, but it was a call I wasn't expecting

When do they test you for this? Is this something they do for everyone?
It was done with my first round of blood....I'm guessing it's a routine test bc I don't have any problems listed in my family medical history.

for you that DH is negative.
I found out early in my first pregnancy that I'm a CF gene carrier, too, so I can relate to that awful worried
feeling you are experiencing right now.
No one in my family is known to be a carrier so it was a complete surprise to me to come back positive. Stay calm and like a PP said, no need to worry until you know you have something to worry about. Much easier said than done, though.....
