Booked my 1st Disney trip.. questions...
So I am going to DW with my dh and 2 kids (one will turn 6 while we are there and one will be 4 1/2).We are taking one day as a travel day and just going to hang at the hotel (All Star Movies) ,then have three days at the parks. One day for each, Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom. We got the meal plan which gives each of us a snack, a quick meal and a sit each day. Since we are not going to the parks the first day we arrive I am going to use a quick meal that day,so I will have an extra sit down to use. I already booked 3 sit downs , one for each day, one at each park.I am going to 1900 Park at Grand Floridian( dinner) , Hollywood and Vne( Lunch) and Tusker Hosue( breakfast). So since I have an extra sit down, where and when would you suggest I use it? We are not renting a car so we dont want to leave those 3 parks. TIA

Mk- crystal palace has pooh characters Hotels: we loved Boma in AKL Cape may cafe had a great character breakfast - beach clb hotel And in the Polynesian (the restaurant name is escaping me) but their restaurant is great we went to breakfast there and loved it but hear great things about dinner there too.
You could also take the momorail to Epcot and in Norway the have a princess meal with belle, snow white, cinderela, jasmine, etc. Its 1 table service and you get a picture with a princess. We did lunch there and enjoyed it alot. We also love to eat at morracco the food is good and they have a belly dancer show.

Ooh, fun!!! With those ages, definitely 'Ohana, which is what Kelly was referring to. Easy commute from MK by boat or monorail. If it were me I would not schedule a 4th character meal. Kids usually love them, but sometimes the little ones are shy and I always feel character meals are so hectic. 'Ohana has great food and the entertainment/games are perfect for your kids' ages but it will be a more relaxing meal overall. While your kids are doing the coconut races and limbo contests, you and DH can enjoy a nice meal. I'd consider doing that your first night and then watching Wishes from the beach at the Poly. The day you are at MK you will really want to be inside MK at night for the parade, fireworks, and castle projection show. The QS at MK is generally better than the TS. Columbia Harbor House has some interesting choices. For standard fare, but entertainment the kids will love, try Cosmic Ray's.

I would definitely do another character meal your MK day. I assume your doing 1900 Park Fare for dinner? If so, I would do Crystal Palace for breakfast (pooh and friends) or Chef Mickey's (the fab five). For our family we love to do character meals and don't find them hectic at all. We also like to get the meets done while we are relaxing eating a meal than waiting on lines in the parks. I'd rather go on rides : ).
Just as a personal preference, I would also change Hollywood and Vine. Very mixed reviews there and HS has some cute restaurants, SciFi Diner or 50's Prime time as good alternatives.
Have fun and don't stress yourself out seeing every single thing in the parks. Pick out your favorites, do those first and then fill in with everything else.
