Born Free Bottles vs. Dr. Browns

I'm not sure which bottles I should register for? I know that Dr. Browns makes the BPA free bottles now. Both my sister-in-laws used the Dr. Browns with their children and loved them. They never had a problem with gas. I know that the born free bottles have a venting system but is it as good as the Dr. Browns? TIA! Chat Icon

Re: Born Free Bottles vs. Dr. Browns

I'm not real familiar with the Born Free, but I do know this: My nephew (now 7 years old) had AWFUL colic. I took off a semester of college to watch him when he was first born, and I was literally Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon because he wouldn't stop crying.

My sister switched to the Dr. Brown's, and he was like a new child!!! So when we registered, I knew exactly what I wanted to get Chat Icon

I use Bron free and I love them. If I was you I would register for some of both and see which works best with your DC.

Re: Born Free Bottles vs. Dr. Browns

I use playtex drop ins. (so easy to clean) and the liners are PBA free. I have a few of the other bottles I def prefer the drop ins.. the others are such a pain to clean.

Thanks girls! Does anyone know if the born free bottles are like the avent bottles? I think I'm going to go with the Dr. Browns even though they are a little more difficult to clean.

I am planning to bottle-feed and had a long discussion about this same topic with my friend the other night who has a Chat Icon . She recommends Dr. Browns all the way.

I have both the Dr. Brown's and the BF bottles.... Personally I find that DD has less gas issue with the BF bottles.
