I never used a bottle warmer. I just hold the bottle under warm water or in a mug of hot water. If I am out and about and can't do one - he takes it cold and luckily doesn't mind it.

Thats what I would do. I had the one that you plug into the car and it took FOREVER and hardly worked.

I used to just go into a store and ask for a boiling cup of water and stick it in there!

Re: Bottle warmers

At home I use ready to feed formula, but when I go out I use powdered formula so I don't have to worry about keeping it cool before we use it or warm when it's fedding time. I put the water in the bottle and the powder in a little tuppaware thing that has 3 compartments. The water is usually room temperature so there's no need to warm.

Connor will drink it cold. You may want to try giving it cold every once in awhile so if you are in a jam the baby will drink it cold.

Otherwise us powder and just put water in the bottles and bring the powder.

Re: Bottle warmers

We bring a new container along and then break it open when needed. We then find a place to store the container or trash it and use another one. If we are at a friends house, we fridge the container and then warm up the bottle using a mug with warm/hot water.

Re: Bottle warmers

Also, not sure what kind of formula you are using, but I know they make single serving ready to feed for similac and enfamil.

I had a car warmer that STUNK. It was a total waste. I would then just give it to her cold.

We didn't need to warm our bottles, I mixed powder and room temp water at feeding time.

Re: Bottle warmers

Thanks everybody I purchased the Dex bottle warmer pictured earlier. I tried it yesterday and it seems to work okay.
