so they had to have took 2 cars to the highway right??
That's what I don't get. How did he get her car on the sob? Did someone then pick him up or something?
According to the press conference he dropped her car off and then came back later with his car, which is when the DOT worker saw him.
Where in Bethpage did they live? If it's close enough to the SOB then he could have walked back to the house to get his car.
They live near me I think, so they are closer to exit 6 off the SOB, not exit 9.
Yes, they lived 5 houses away from me. It is just a block off Exit 6 (135). VERY easy to get to any highway. Scary!!

I was also wondering how he got the focus there and also had his mustang there too. He must of ran home after dropping off the focus to get the mustang.
yeah that is what the LT Detective eluded to.
I think his brother may have known. If you go to newsday.com and look at the video of his brother, something seems off about it.
Yes! I agree with this!! I saw this yesterday and ever since I have been saying I think the brother was either involved somehow or knew something.
the whole story is just so awful

Her brother broke my heart this morning. He was so well spoken thanking everyone but just seemed to be in such a state of shock. I feel for her family so much.

So was that report from the 'friend' of Lea's getting text messages from her on Sunday night false?
No, this is true as police are looking for the guy to talk to him.

Re: Breaking News on Leah Walsh
I just saw on tv the husband's grandparents going to court for his arraignment and it made me wonder - do they really believe he is innocent? I know that you should support your loved ones, but I think if I knew my DS confessed to killing his wife, he would be on his own.

family is family
there would be no visiting rooms in jail if everyone turned their back on family members who committed crimes
I doubt you would do that to your son- regardless of who he killed

I always think about this stuff, weird I know. But I wonder how I would feel if a family member (parent, sibling etc) did something this terrible. I was thinking before, if my sister called me to tell me she killed her husband and needed help, I wonder if I would help her or call the police. My gut tells me OMG I would call the police. But then I think thats my sister, my best friend, I would probably help her or try to convince her to call the police herself.

According to News 12, he admitted to her murder...NO DUH!!
I read that the police have a 7 page confession from him... yet he pleaded not guilty today and his lawyer is saying that the confession is no good. Ugh.

Here's a quote:
"Police Commissioner Lawrence Mulvey added that Walsh "should not enjoy one nanosecond of freedom for the rest of his life." However, the suspect's family says the police coerced him into confession (cops say they have a written confession) without a lawyer present."
Source
I misspoke in my first post saying the lawyer stated the confession was no good. It is his family.

Sure. They're going to try saying he was interrogated for so long and basically forced to confess. There was a lifetime movie about this once, but the movie involved a kid.

I was just going to post the same thing. My sister is everything to me. I can't comfortably say I would automatically do the right thing if she called me. Such a difficult thing.

actually, you were correct about the lawyer saying it as well. he was on tv saying the confession was coerced and saying "the confession is the only evidence there is against my client and we know, especially from what we have heard on tv the last couple of weeks, that confessions are not reliable" - i took it as he was referring to the tankleff case.

She was a teacher. Her husband said she would never leave her kids or something like that so maybe that is what they meant when you heard about kids.
